Fiona Wooler, Historic Buildings and Research Specialist at Eden Heritage, has 20 years’ experience of working in cultural heritage, initially as a Buildings Archaeologist and Researcher, and then as a Heritage Consultant for Wardell Armstrong LLP. Fiona has worked for Eden Heritage Ltd since 2019, being responsible for compiling and writing technical reports such as Heritage Impact Assessments, Heritage Statements and Historic Building Recording Reports, which are generally for submission as part of a planning application or as a condition of approval. Fiona graduated with a degree in Archaeology and History in 2003 followed by a masters degree in Archaeology of Buildings from the University of York. She also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Architectural Conservation and Certificate in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Central Lancashire.
Fiona is skilled and experienced in the archaeological investigation and interpretation of historic buildings, including historical research and surveying. She is used to working within a busy commercial environment and in completing projects to tight deadlines. Recent projects have included working alongside other disciplines such as architects and consultants, and she has experience of liaising and working alongside other bodies to prepare conservation management plans for historical sites.
